Molokai Airport Weather – Weather in the Hawaiian Islands is going to be very similar from Island to Island. So whether you are going for Molokai, Maui, Oahu – Honolulu, Kauai or Big Island expect similar conditions.
The outdoor weather is rarely a reason to change your plans. If you are going to snorkel we suggest going in the morning after the sun is up. In the morning the ocean is generally flat. A flat ocean makes for clear water visibility. Most days we experience trade winds. The trade winds start mid to late morning. The wind creates surf. Anything that stirs the ocean makes the visibility worse.
Temperature Day versus Temperature Night
Hawaii is a tropical Island chain. The temperature during the day is generally going to be in the low 80’s to low 90’s year round at sea level. Winter in Hawaii is going to be in the lower range, while summer is going to be in the higher range. Nights are cooler. There are exceptions, if you go to Haleakala National Park on Maui the temperature at 10,000 feet above sea level is going to cold. Bring a jacket. If you go to the Big Island and cross a lava field during the day, it is going to be hot. Be prepared.
The temperature at night you can expect the temperature to be about 10 degrees cooler. Can you handle to 10 degree variation?
